PC Troubleshooting and Repair, A+ Certification Prep

This course introduces students to the field of IT technical support in how to install, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware and networks. This course uses CompTIA A+ Exam objectives as a framework to prepare you for the 220-1001 certification exam. The class covers the latest hardware, security, mobile device support, cloud computing and virtualization. Comp TIA A+ certification is not included with the course. (prerequisite Intro to Computers)

Ch 2 Real Problems 2-1 - replacement image

 

Assignments:

For each assigned Chapter in the textbook(1-6 and 9):

1. Read through the chapter. Where possible do the tasks in the chapter.
2. Complete "Thinking Critically" at the end of the chapter. Answer the questions in Docs and save as "Thinking Critically#" where the # is the chapter number. Save to your Google drive by Chapter number.
3. Select and complete 3 of the "Hands-On Projects " within the chapter. In some cases this will need to be handed in or photographed as there are drawings and printouts. If you have files for these sections they may be placed into files called HOP1-1 for Ch 1 Number 1, HOP2-3 for Ch 2 Number 3 and so on. Save the files into the appropriate chapter folder. If the hands on is really "hands-on" you must submit a video of you completing the tasks.
4.Select and complete 1 of the Real Problems, Real Solutions . In some cases this will need to be handed in as there are drawings and printouts. If you have files for these sections they may be placed into files called Real1-1 for Chapter 1 Number 1, Real2-2 for Chapter 2 Number 2, etc. If the directions tell you to print webpages just give me the URL in your assignment document.
